Black Clover Anime Film Reveals Title, March 31 Premiere Date
The wait for more Black Clover just got a whole lot shorter for two big reasons: first, the previously announced anime film now has a March 31, 2023 premiere date, and second, it was revealed that it will have a simultaneous release in Japanese theaters and Netflix worldwide.
A teaser visual drawn by mangaka Yuki Tabata, who is supervising the original story, a trailer and an additional cast member were also released, along with the film's title: Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King.
Toshihiko Seki, best known for his roles as Senketsu in Kill la Kill and Iruka in Naruto, joins the film as Konrath (character romanization not confirmed), a former Wizard King.
Before then though, the entire Black Clover TV anime is available to watch here on Crunchyroll, which describes it as such:
In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
